Set description: This set of 13 3D-printed resin parts is designed to enhance the deck details of the Revell USS Constitution and USS United States plastic ship model kits in 1:96 scale.
The individual components were designed using historical USS Constitution plans from the Boston Navy Yard (Charlestown Navy Yard) as references. Their design is based on documented structural details and deck fittings of the original ship.
Set contents:
- 1× steering wheel
- 2× binnacles
- 1× capstan
- 3× fife rails – two amidships and one larger forward rail
- 2× catheads
- 4× boat davits for two boats positioned on either side of the stern
Belaying pins: The set also includes separately 3D-printed belaying pins in sufficient quantity to equip all three fife rails. The pins are inserted into the pre-formed holes in the rails.
The individual parts represent deck equipment and fittings used for handling rigging, anchors and ship's boats. The set allows model builders to replace or supplement the corresponding details of the original plastic kit.
Material and manufacturing: Resin parts manufactured using 3D printing technology.
Finishing notice: The parts are supplied unpainted and attached to their 3D printing supports. Before installation, carefully separate each part from its supports, remove any remaining support material, and prepare the parts for painting and assembly.
