Material: veneer thickness of 0.3mm, laminated: beech and oak
Description of deck: Deck is engraved to the veneer to match the construction conventions of ship type. Design of peripheral boards is called "waterway".  Ending boards into the waterway, especially at the bow so called "hooking" and narrowing boards toward stern side of the ship. Marking pins so called "treenline" by which deck was nailed to the deck-beam (beams holding the deck of the ship) – All these features corresponds to the plans of the ship as you can see on the picture. The plan of Soleil Royal isn’t preserved. As a source I used a documentation from the book “Le Trios-Ponts du chevalier de Tourville, 1680 by Jean Boudriot. He is well known specialist, and he published a lot constructions plans of historical ships. You can find monography of L' Ambitieux and also Soleil Royal in the book mentioned before. From this book referntion planes are used for deck design realization. Veneer deck matches exactly to the plastic deck and for sure enhance esthetic appearance of the deck. There are cut out all the openings on the deck, such as on the plastic substrate.
