This is a very fine Egyptian canvas high quality made of 100% cotton, which is already pre-washed and shrunk. I offer the canvas in white and beige so modelers don't have to patinated it in tea or coffee. In beige I recommend the canvas for all the old, classic sailboats built in Europe. For sailboats that have standard linen sails.
The white sail is suitable for some newer sailboats, such as Cutty Sark, or some ships built in America. Or for sailboats that use cotton canvas for sails. Cotton does bleach in the salty sea air. In any case, each modeler must find out what sails are suitable for his model.
