Dummy barrels
Dummy barrels are a specialized type of cannon barrels designed for ship models where the guns are represented only at the gunports. The visible front section replicates the muzzle and forward part of the cannon, while the rear section consists of a narrow extension that is inserted from the outside into the model’s gunport. This solution is commonly used in kits and models where there is no space for full cannon carriages and complete guns. Dummy barrels are intended exclusively for scale ship models, sold individually as single pieces, and designed for specific models where this installation method is required.
