Description of sails: The complete set of sails for the Amerigo Vespucci 1:150 model kit includes 15 square sails, 8 staysails, and 1 spanker sail (24 sails in total). All sails are precision-stitched on a CNC sewing machine. The cut, design, and sail reinforcements strictly adhere to historical accuracy, based directly on the original anatomical plans of the vessel. The sails are crafted in black fabric, matching the iconic look of this famous Italian training ship.
Sail tailoring details include:
- Top edge folding, with a double-stitched perimeter along the remaining edges
- Reinforced reef bands in the exact positions for the reefing lines.
- Recommendation: We recommend lining the outer perimeter of the sails with 0.5 mm and 0.75 mm black bolt rope.
