One of the ships on which the famous Sir Francis Drake sailed in the 16th century. The ship was built in 1577, about 37 m long at the waterline and 28 m long keel. She was armed with 34 guns and 12 (hand cannons). She particularly distinguished herself in the battles of 1588 when Sir Drake commanded a fleet of about 130 English ships against the Spanish fleet from this ship. In the ensuing fighting, which lasted about 10 days, the Spanish fleet was defeated and less than half of the ships returned home.
The kit contains nicely moulded parts, plastic sails, thread-thin plastic ladders, flags and a detailed plan.
