    Launched in 1670, H.M.S. Prince was a first-rate British warship carrying 100 cannon. She was the British flagship during the battle of Texel in 1673 and became the stuff of legends throughout the Royal Navy after engaging in a relentless defence against a fierce attack by the Dutch fleet.
