    This ship, considered the first warship powered by steam and propeller, was built in France in 1850 according to plans by the ship designer Dupuy de Lôme. It was the first of a successful series of 9 ships built over the next 10 years.
    Her basic technical data. Length: 77.8 m, draught: 8.5 m, propulsion outside the sail: 2 steam engines with a total power of 900 hp, speed: 12.1 knots, armament: 90 guns, crew: 910 men.
