International Shipping Information
International Shipping — Important Information
Below you will find up-to-date information on changes in international postal regulations that directly affect the delivery of orders, especially outside Europe.
Changes to international letter mail from January 1, 2026
At the end of 2025, the Universal Postal Union (UPU) decided that as of January 1, 2026, international registered and insured letter mail (letter-format shipments) may be used exclusively for transporting printed documents.
- Commercial goods are no longer permitted in letter envelopes
- This rule applies worldwide to all national postal operators
As a result, it is no longer possible to ship small commercial items in envelopes, which were previously used for affordable delivery of low-value orders.
Shipments outside Europe
Since Czech Post has not yet introduced a replacement service for discontinued letter mail, we are forced to ship all orders to countries outside Europe exclusively as parcels.
- Parcel shipping is at least three times more expensive
- This applies even to orders of very low value
This situation is beyond our control and significantly harms our company through the loss of customers and orders, as it is a direct consequence of decisions made by international and governmental institutions.
According to the information available to us, Czech Post is expected to introduce a replacement service during January 2026. We will inform customers of any updates.
Shipments within Europe
For deliveries within European countries, we use the services of Packeta, which cooperates with national carriers in each destination country.
- Shipping within Europe is largely unaffected
- Changes to letter mail have minimal or no impact here
Customers from the United Kingdom and Switzerland
Customers from the United Kingdom and Switzerland must register on our website as customers from these countries in order to ensure correct price display and shipping calculation.
For orders shipped to the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we handle customs clearance as the sender and product prices already include customs duties and VAT. To display these prices correctly, customers must be logged in under the customer group “Customers from UK and Switzerland”.
Without registration, or if registered under a different country, prices may be displayed incorrectly and may not reflect the final order value. If you are unsure how to register correctly or experience issues with price or shipping display, please contact us at message@hismodel.com.
Shipping to the United States
Due to the reasons described above, orders to the United States are shipped exclusively via FedEx or UPS.
- Shipping cost: from 33 USD
- Delivery time: approximately 5–7 business days
Customs duties and fees for U.S. imports
On August 29, the duty-free “de minimis” regime was abolished and import duties were introduced on all goods imported into the United States.
- Import duty: 15% of the goods value
- MPF (informal entry): approximately 2.6–2.7 USD
- Couriers may charge an additional small customs brokerage fee
These conditions are based on current international postal and customs regulations and are outside of our control.
