Description of deck: USS United States was a sister ship of the more widely known USS Constitution, commissioned by the United States Congress in the late 18th century. The construction references for this deck therefore originate from the same historical sources.

The peripheral plank (“waterway”) follows the original ship construction, including correct plank layout, hooked plank endings on the bow (“hacking”) and narrowing toward the stern. Marked treenails represent fastening to the deck beams (“treenline”) according to historical plans.

The veneer deck precisely fits the plastic deck of the Revell kit. All openings are laser cut to match the original plastic parts. Compared to the original kit deck, which is difficult to assemble cleanly, the veneer overlay significantly improves realism and finishing quality.
