Complete sail set corresponding to the 1803–1815 period. The sails are sewn from pre-washed 100% cotton (125 g/m²) to ensure dimensional stability and reduced shrinkage.

The set includes 25 yard sails, jibs and staysails. Studding sails are not included and can be ordered separately under code S074s.

Sail construction is based on documented historical sources, including Anatomy of the Ship – The 44-Gun Frigate USS Constitution, and period U.S. naval regulations derived from British standards.

Construction details:
– the head of the sail is proportionally wider than the side and foot edges; exceptions are the fore course, main course and topsails where side reinforcements taper upward
– fore course, main course and topsails are reinforced with middle bands and include buntline cloths sewn from the lower edge at buntline attachment points
– reef bands are applied at reefing lines (number depending on the sail type)
– topgallant sails, spritsail course and smaller sails are corner-lined for reinforcement
– mast cloths are applied on the reverse side of topsails to prevent chafing against the mast top platform
– staysails and jibs are reinforced at corners according to period regulations; staysails with vertical luff have continuous reinforcement along the luff
