Instructions
This set is designed for complete gun tackle assemblies — including both the front and rear ropes for all 14 visible guns on the upper decks. Each gun was equipped with four tackles — two on the sides for pushing the cannon into the firing position and two at the back for pulling it back for reloading. The rear tackle was only rigged when the ship was in combat readiness. The tackles were hooked into eyes on the cannon and the bulwark, or into a deck eye behind the gun.
