Product detailed description

Description: Steam pinas from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, 50 feet long, belonging to the battleship (predreadnought) HMS Renown was used for rapid transport of senior officers ashore and between vessels, for guard service in ports to protect anchored ships and could be used also to support Marine paratroopers. It was used by the father of modern battleships, Admiral Fisher, when HMS Renown was the flagship of the Mediterranean Fleet; during the voyage to India in 1905 she also carried the Prince of Wales (the future King George V) and his wife. If necessary, it was possible to attach a fast-firing three-pound (47 mm) cannon to the conical plinth on the bow, in the middle of the ship there was a boiler room and engine room, and a small crew cabin at the stern. The boat is designed for beginners to intermediate shipbuilders; is designed as a non-floating desktop mockup.

Pinasa has a hull of classic wooden construction made of laser-cut parts with a plank plating, a wooden deck and a superstructure. The kit contains all the wooden and plastic parts needed to complete the model, mock-up accessories (eg anchor, lifebuoys, fans, propeller, etc.).
